Dark Sky Planner

Find the darkest nights for stargazing, visual astronomy, and astrophotography.

Dark Sky Planner analyzes your location and observing schedule against sunset, twilight boundaries such as astronomical dusk and astronomical dawn, moonrise, moonset, Moon horizon times, and Moon illumination so you can plan around the nights with the least moonlight.

Search for a city, ZIP code, open the map for an exact observing spot, or use precise browser location.
